APPLE

Prologue: Kudos for Apple Inc for dethroning chivalry namely Microsoft. A short story on evolution of ‘Apple’ from a forbidden fruit to world’s leading operating system.

When one thinks about ‘apple’ thing which comes to his mind is that of Apple being a scarlet colored fruit of an apple tree. Few of us know that apple tree is lineage of a rose family. Rose whose beauty, sacredness is well accepted by pioneers of various religious groups. Rose has been a symbol for benevolence, free-thought, enlightenment, etc. In fact Apple has inherited these qualities and bestowed them through various means.

Science and Religion have been two pillars of foundation for man-kind. Yet they have always been at war, defamed and taunted each other, in their struggle to be alone at the top. Somehow Apple has scraped through this fence. For religionists Holy Bible, Quran, etc are the guidelines, for people concerned with science it’s the physics which is at their heart-throb, surreptitiously Apple has played a compelling role in both the fields.

Bible says that Apple is the forbidden fruit which grows on tree which judges between Good and Bad. It’s the Apple which led to mortality for humans on earth. Discovery of gravity due to falling of an Apple from a tree is a fairy tale for physicists. For a physicist it led to physics prime discovery of gravity which has been the foundation for advancement and unveiled the mystic truth of our universe. Also it’s a way for them to propagandize the distinction between lay-man thinking to a physician. For a historian it’s the Trojan War. Who could forget pivoting role played by glittering golden Apple. As per story, it’s the Apple which led to brawl for possession between Goddesses of knowledge, beauty and power caused Trojan War.

Our first endeavors with English language begin with ‘A for an Apple’. Only human part to be named after a fruit, Adam ’s apple (Epiglottis). Is it just a co-incident or a sly attempt by pantheons to ingeniously pass the mantle of Apple? In that scenario, they have been indeed successful. But, in the new millennium Apple is no more the crimson colored fruit. Its profile has been eclipsed by a pale white colored bitten Apple.

Through-out its metamorphosis Apple has played a role of an esquire for adjectives of human behavior. None have been more symbolized than pallid grey colored one. Transformation of Apple from a vicious, destructive, poisonous yet luring, innocent, beauteous (as seen in the story of Adam and Eve or be fairy tale of Snow White, Trojan War) one to an emblem for wisdom, modern heights science and technology is an intriguing voyage (Apple Inc clinching the top position).

At the end I believe Apple has led to ‘death’ in one way or other. It’s satanic play either in discovery of gravity which further paved way for further discoveries and inventions or baiting Eve and Adam in having it can’t be oblivious to. Fingers cross for now on Apple Inc though.
